This year I am especially thankful for technology and the people it brings together.  Technology seems like such a worldly thing, but the truth is that it exists because of God’s provisions.  Not only does God’s world provide the materials, but God also creates the minds of those who make technology possible and gives all humans the ability to communicate.  Thank You, God!

Through technology, we can search for and share information, photos and images, offer encouragements, learn, grow, inspire and be inspired!  Yes, there are those who use technology in corrupt and evil ways, but technology can also be used teach, reach, motivate, and cultivate positive growth – especially when it comes to sharing our Christian faith.

Last week, while going through a difficult time, I received notification of a new post by Bill on (Nov 22 – highly recommended).  Bill is afflicted by ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).  However, despite the disabilities imposed by his disease, Bill ministers hope and faith through his blog site.  If you visit his site, be sure to read Bill’s story.  Clicking on Bill’s “Unshakeable Hope” site touched my heart with much needed hope and encouragement at a time when both were greatly needed.  Thank you, Bill, and thank You, God!

Through the technology of email and social media, friends and family can be in touch to offer love, prayer, support, laughter and smiles, even when they are far away from each other.  Thank You, God!

Today’s technology allows my friend, Melinda Laging, to publish “niNe” , a trendy online Christian magazine for teen girls.  (See )   Thank You, God!

Technology provides the organization, communication and support needed to keep churches and ministries going.  It also provides a way for ministries like New Life 91.9 radio (, Proverbs 31 Ministries (, Focus on the Family ( ) and InTouch ( )  to exist in the virtual world.  Thank You, God!

Because God led me to blogging, I have a way to share the thoughts and messages He puts on my heart in hopes that others will be encouraged and inspired.  Thank You, God!

Blogging has also allowed me to “meet” wonderful people from around the world.  Their personal responses and posted comments are a continual blessing. Thank You, God!

Yes, I am thankful for technology and the good it serves.  I’m also thankful for the many wonderful people with whom I’m connected because of it.

In closing, I’ll offer these words of blessing from Bill’s “Unshakeable Hope” site:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

With a heart full of thanks,
