As I drove along, I noticed myself veering to the right toward the markings of the bike path.  Quickly I steered to the left, centering myself in my lane again.  I noticed the car ahead of me had veered so far to the right that it was driving in the bike path.  Looking in my rear-view mirror, I saw the car behind me was also veering off to the right.  Uh, oh.   Apparently we were following each other instead of following the lines of the road!  That’s not good.

It occurred to me that trying to live the Christian life is a lot like that, too.  We need to keep our eyes focused on the path God puts before us, not on other people or  things, or we will go astray.

The Bible puts it quite simply:  “This is the way; walk in it.”   – Isaiah 30:21
