I just heard a wonderful story on 91.9 New Life radio that I want to share with you.  A woman called in to say that she’s been without work for 15 months, but that she’s kept her faith and has been praying and fasting, seemingly trusting God to see her through this tough time.  She met a man yesterday and discovered he was homeless.  She encouraged him in faith and then they prayed together.  She recalled the Bible saying that “whatsoever you do unto the least of these, you do unto Me” (words spoken by Jesus), so she went home to get him something to eat.  All she had left was two slices of bread (she might have said she had an egg, too).  She put the only food she had on one of her best china dishes and went back to feed the homeless man she’d met. He was so grateful and said no one had ever done anything like that for him before.  Then HE prayed for HER!  He asked God to bless her.  She returned home and later got a phone call telling her she had a job!

This woman had been out of work for 15 months, and then got a job after unselfishly and unconditionally giving all she had to the homeless man she met.  I could absolutely hear a big smile on her face as she shared her story, and the smile sounded the biggest when she concluded by saying, “God is so good!”

Yes, God certainly is good!  I love stories like this!  Blessed are those who recognize the provisional hand of God in their lives.  And blessed be this woman for boldly sharing of God’s goodness.
