Today I’m writing from my heart, asking you to pray for others.   Please take a few moments to pray for those who are:

Struggling in these tough financial times

Facing uncertainty of their futures

Possibly losing their homes and everything they’ve worked hard for

Facing illnesses and/or possible disabilities

Tending to loved ones who are ill

Scared for loved ones who are awaiting test results and diagnosis

Overwhelmed by their life’s situations

Feeling the burden of poor choices

Finding out that their marriage is over

Worried about the rebellious ways of their children

Worried about poor choices their children/grandchildren are making

Shamed by mistakes of their past

Victims of cruel actions of others

Trying to overcome addictions

Who don’t know God

Who are struggling with their faith

Trying to find a reason to live

Doing their best to hang on

Who need to be saved by grace through faith

These people aren’t ‘other people somewhere else’.  These are our friends and neighbors, family members, people we go to church with, work with, encounter in our day.  These are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and they need our love and support. 

Give thanks to God for the good things He does, and pray for His goodness to be with others.  Please pray for God to be with others in amazing ways and for them to recognize His hand of grace in their lives.  Claim Romans 8:28 that states God can work good in all things for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.  Pray that He will indeed work through the tough and trying times of others to bring about His good will.  Pray for the children affected by these situations, that God will show them special favor, kindness, mercy, and protection when needed.  Pray especially for those losing the will to keep going that they will come to know that Christ is the way, the truth and the LIFE.  (Gospel of John)  Pray that God will make rainbows to appear in their lives – reminding all of us that He keeps His promise to be with us.
